Capacity Building

In the course of our work, we actively recruit, train and empower young graduates from different backgrounds in research and data management skills, thereby contributing to the creation of a highly skilled manpower base within our areas of operation around the country. Moreover, we endeavor to achieve gender parity in all our research teams and are putting mechanisms in place to attain disability inclusion in our field operations as well.

Knowledge Dissemination

we are actively involved in reporting the findings from the research studies undertaken on behalf of our clients, in addition to our own in-house initiatives through various channels. For example, we have found that producing and disseminating short, animated videos is an easily accessible medium to communicate research findings to stakeholders at the grassroots/community level.

Demand Generation

In addition to providing technical expertise to fulfil the needs of clients who seek out our services, we create our own demand by generating applicable research ideas that we then market to potential clients. For example, we piloted an air quality monitoring study within the city of Kampala which was able to showcase the efficacy of real time point measures of particulate matter (PM 2.5) within the city. This pilot was able to map out hot spots with high PM 2.5 measure (as per the EPA standard) within parts of Kampala City – a fit to show viability of such an undertaking where funds permit. These Pilot results show that low-cost outdoor Particulate matter monitors are viable for urban settings air quality monitoring.
