Preliminary investigations led by researchers from Stanford University to provide insights into: (1) whether there are systematic differences in the management and monitoring of primary schools, and (2) the underlying causes of this systematic differentiation. This investigation could unearth the challenges of primary school monitoring and offer valuable opportunities for improving inspection practices.

Tasks completed include:

  • Random sampling of schools to participate in the study
  • Field data collection, including, conducting structured interviews with key informants at district education offices and at primary schools.
  • Compilation of study report summarizing research findings
